Round 1 – Yamaha R3 BLU CRU Asia-Pacific ChampionshipRace Day Recap: Flat-Out Action and Breakthrough Moments

After a challenging Friday through practice and qualifying, the riders of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Asia-Pacific Championship reset, regrouped, and returned with full focus for race day.

Back at the circuit in the afternoon, every rider worked closely with their teams — locking in final mental preparation and technical feedback before lights out. Overtaking proved difficult across key corners, turning every move into a calculated risk. The battles were relentless, with no rider willing to give an inch until the checkered flag.

The tone was set early with a strong Aussie front row, as Phoenix O’Brien struck first with pole position on home soil, alongside Hunter Corney and Rossi McAdam — setting up an intense fight in Race 1.

When it mattered most, Farres Fadhil delivered from P6 — a flawless, composed ride to secure a stunning P1, marking a milestone first victory and podium for the Malaysian rider. Close behind, Connor Lewis claimed a strong P2, while Rossi McAdam completed the podium with a hard-fought P3.

 

                                                                               

 

As the sun set and temperatures shifted, the track came alive again under the night lights. The intensity only grew — every rider pushing harder, still hungry for victory and another shot at the podium. In front of a home crowd, Connor Lewis rose to the moment, delivering a spectacular victory with precision and control.



Race pace. Big moves. No holding back. From lights out to the final lap — it was flat-out racing all the way.

Round 1 complete — a weekend defined by breakthrough performances, relentless battles, and rising momentum.The championship now moves forward to The Bend Motorsport Park for Round 2, May 1–3, 2026.
