Round 3 Intense Battles and Unforgettable Moments at Mandalika

The Yamaha R3 BLU CRU Asia-Pacific Championship returned to the spectacular Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia for Round 3, delivering another exciting weekend of close racing and intense championship action.

The race week began with teams arriving at the Mandalika paddock, where mechanics prepared every Yamaha R3 for the race. Before taking to the track, riders attended technical briefings, met with their teams, and completed the traditional track walk to study the circuit and discuss their race strategies.

Friday's practice sessions gave riders their first chance to find the best bike setup and adapt

to the challenging Mandalika circuit. Indonesian rider M. Abid Musyava impressed the home crowd by setting the fastest time in FP1 with a lap of 1:51.080. In FP2, Hunter Corney bounced back to top the timesheets with a 1:52.331, while championship leader Farres Fadhil finished second and Reynaldi Junior was third.

The competition became even more intense during qualifying. Indonesian Wild Card rider Muhammad Abid Azhar delivered an outstanding lap of 1:51.147 to claim pole position. He was joined on the front row by Hunter Corney and Phoenix O'Brien, setting up an exciting Race 1.

Race 1 featured thrilling battles from the start to the finish. Thailand's Teeranai Tubtim stayed calm under pressure and claimed his first-ever Yamaha R3 BLU CRU Asia-Pacific Championship victory after an exciting fight that was decided on the final lap. Reynaldi Junior finished second, while Phoenix O'Brien completed the podium in third. The race once again showed how competitive the championship has become, with every rider fighting hard for valuable points.

The excitement continued in Race 2 as Hunter Corney delivered a dominant performance to take victory with impressive speed and consistency. Teeranai Tubtim completed another strong race to finish second, while Indonesia's Sabian Fethul Ilmi celebrated a memorable third-place finish in front of his home fans.

After Round 3, the championship battle has become even closer. Hunter Corney leads the standings with 104 points, while Teeranai Tubtim is now just two points behind in second place. Farres Fadhil remains third, keeping the fight for the championship wide open as the season continues.

The weekend was made even more special by the incredible support from Indonesian fans. During the Pit Walk session, hundreds of fans came to meet the riders, creating an amazing atmosphere around the paddock. Their warm welcome and passionate support made Round 3 an unforgettable event for everyone involved.
