Round 2 of the Yamaha R3 Asia Pacific Championship took place at The Bend Motorsport Park on 1–3 May 2026, delivering a full spectrum of racing drama across the weekend — from chaos to pure racing emotion.
Saturday opened with rain-hit qualifying — one lap, multiple crashes, and no time on the board for some riders. With conditions catching many out, the grid was set based on best Practice pace, reshuffling expectations before the races even began.

Race 1 turned into a story of grit and breakthrough. Tears of victory marked the moment as Sabian Fathul Ilmi claimed his first win after a fierce last-lap fight, holding off Hunter Corney to the line. Farres Fadhill completed the podium after a hard-fought battle, capping off an intense opening race

Sunday’s Race 2 shifted into full attack mode. With improved conditions, the field unleashed maximum pace from lights to flag. Hunter Corney responded by setting the fastest pace of the race, while Teeranai Tubtim brought top speed into contention, pushing hard in the podium fight. Farres Fadhill secured P3 once again, collecting crucial championship points.

As Round 2 concludes, the championship remains wide open. Speed, resilience, and momentum are building — but the true title contender is still yet to fully emerge.
