Yamaha 70th Anniversary: 70 Years of Speed, Spirit, and Racing Soul Since 1955, Yamaha hasn’t just participated in racing—we’ve shaped it.

From our first win at the Mount Fuji Ascent Race with the YA-1, to championship glory in MotoGP, motocross, endurance, and rally, Yamaha has always stood for courage, innovation, and the unstoppable will to lead. For 70 years, we've been writing history—not just in record books, but in the hearts of riders and fans around the world.

Now, in 2025, we don’t just celebrate the past. We bring it roaring back to life.

At the 10th ADAC Sachsenring Classic, Yamaha returned in full force—reviving legends, reuniting heroes, and reminding the world why we are racing. The Yamaha Racing Heritage Club (YRHC) brought together some of the most iconic machines and riders of all time. From the roaring TD-1B to the Grand Prix-dominating YZR500, every bike wasn’t just displayed—it was ridden, heard, and felt again.

Racing legends like Steve Baker on the YZR750, Carlos Checa riding a fully restored YZR500, and Graham Read honoring his father Phil Read’s legacy aboard the TD-2B—these weren’t just appearances, they were living proof that Yamaha’s soul is still burning hot.

Because for Yamaha, racing is not a memory.

It’s a mission. A movement. A never-ending ride.

This 70th anniversary is not the end of a chapter—it’s the fuel for what’s next.

The same spirit that built the YA-1 in just 10 days after Yamaha’s founding still drives every machine we build today. And that same fearless attitude will carry us into the future—on track, on road, and beyond.

We’re not just part of racing history.

We ARE racing history.
