BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup 2025 – Round 2 Recap: Rising Stars Battle Through Queensland Showdown

The 2025 BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup (OJC) delivered another thrilling weekend of racing as Round 2 unfolded at Queensland Raceway from May 2–4. Australia’s rising road racing talents were put to the test across a mix of dry and wet track conditions, challenging their skills, strategy, and composure.

As in the season opener, one race took place on a wet track—highlighting the importance of throttle control, tactical awareness, and adaptability. Despite the unpredictable weather, Connor Lewis and Chaz Williams emerged as standout performers, pushing each other to the absolute limit in all three six-lap contests.

Race 1:

1st  Connor Lewis

2nd Chaz Williams

3rd Jai Strugnell

Lewis narrowly edged out Williams in a gripping opener, while Strugnell completed the podium.

Race 2:

1st Connor Lewis

2nd Chaz Williams

3rd Hunter Charlett

Lewis backed up his win with another commanding performance, keeping Williams at bay once more as Charlett surged to third.

Race 3:

1st Chaz Williams

2nd Hunter Charlett

3rd Connor Lewis

Williams bounced back with a strong victory in the final race, denying Lewis a clean sweep, as Charlett again impressed with another podium finish.

Championship Standings (After Round 2 of 6):

1. Chaz Williams – 115 pts

2. Connor Lewis – 105 pts

3. Hunter Charlett – 84 pts

4. Rossi McAdam – 77 pts

Jai Strugnell – 68 pts

Williams’ lead has now been trimmed to just 10 points, setting up a compelling title fight heading into the next round.

The bLU cRU OJC continues with Round 3 at Morgan Park Raceway (QLD) from June 13–15, where the title battle is set to intensify. With tight margins at the top and a full field of determined young racers, expect more thrilling action as the championship unfolds.
